How to Use

(Note - Frequently Asked Questions Further Below)

If you are new to the website, please read this page. It will answer all of your questions on how to join your classmates, get a password, make a profile and how to access the website. If you are already a member, there is information here that might clear up any questions you have.

This website is completely free to our classmates. You will never be asked to pay to use our website, to make a profile, or to be able to access other alumni profiles. If you would like to donate towards the maintenance of this site, we welcome your donations; but it is not required.

If you have not already done so, you will need to register with our website. Start by clicking on Join Here at the bottom of the blue Sign In box at the upper right of the Home Page. This will take you to a page with names of classmates who have not registered yet - including yours. Find your name, click on it, and follow the instructions to create your Member Details and Profile. Your email address and the password that you enter during this process will be used as your log-in. You can personalize your Profile with information and photos. We encourage you to do so.

Security and privacy are extremely important to our classmates. All classmates that begin the joining process by creating a log-in ID and password will then have to wait for a site administrator to verify them before they have full website access. This may require the administrator to contact you in some way; either by phone call, email or mail inquiries. This is the only time you will be bothered by us directly.

If you do not find your name listed on the Classmates page, please use the "Contact Us" option on the menu to the left to notify us so we can have your name added.

We welcome classmates who were in our class through the years but did not graduate with us. We will add you as a Guest. If you are associated with our class as a teacher, school official, another class close to ours, or have a spouse in our class, we can also add you as a Guest member. Contact Us if you wish to be added as a Guest member to our site.

If you are already a registered member of this website, and are having trouble trying to log-in, note there is a password reset feature in the Classmate Login box.  Just click on "Forgot Password?". If you're trying to log-in and can't remember your password, clicking on Forgot Password will send a message to your email address on record with instructions on how to reset your password.

Once you join the site and create a Member Profile, you will be able to see the Profiles of your fellow classmates and interact with them, exchange messages, post comments, upload pictures, participate in surveys, and take advantage of all the other options available to registered classmates. For more details on more of the things you can do go to the Tips & Tricks page.

If you checked the box next to "Keep Me Logged in" in the Classmate Login box when you logged in, you can still log-in from computers other than your home computer but you will need to enter your password. If the program you use to access the internet clears 'cookies' and temporary internet files on your computer when you exit from the program, you may have to enter your password when you log-in even though you checked "Keep Me Logged In".

If you change your email address, home address, or phone number, please update those in your Profile Details so we have your correct information at all times. While not visible to other classmates, the website administrators are able to use that information if we need to contact you.

All contact information that you enter into this website will be kept confidential. It will not be shared or distributed. Your contact information is private. Your address, phone number, and personal email address can't be seen by other classmates or anyone but you and the website Administrators. When someone clicks on your name, the only contact information they will see is your city and state, and whatever information about yourself you choose to put in your Profile.

Although your email address is not visible to other classmates, they can send you a message by clicking on the “Send (classmate name) a private message” link on the classmate’s Profile Page just below the left side photo or photo location if there is no photo. Note that these messages are kept totally within this website. If you send a message to someone through the “Send (classmate name) a private message” link, they will not be given your email address. They will receive a notification email from the website that they have a message. You will need to log-in to the website to read and respond to any waiting messages.

Please note the Class Creator system and this website does not send spam mail of any kind.

Enjoy and have fun with your website!

What is the purpose of this website?

This site was originally created for the purpose of connecting with all our classmates in order to coordinate our 50th reunion. However, since the site allows all of us to connect with one another and continue to re-establish old friendships, we've continued to support the site since it serves a dual purpose. So, not only is the site used for coordinating reunions, it's here for anyone in our group who just wants to reconnect - even if they are not going to a reunion.

This is my first visit to the website. How do I log-in?

Please click on JOIN HERE under the blue Sign In box at the top right on the home page, then click on YOUR NAME to set up a FREE member account. Provide your email address and create a password (which you can change at any time). Add your married name, if applicable, along with any informaton you wish to share.

Why do I have to be verified by an administrator to get full website access?

Security and privacy are extremely important to our classmates. All classmates that begin the joining process by creating a log-in ID and password will then have to wait for a site administrator to verify them before they have full website access. This may require the administrator to contact you in some way; either by phone call, email or mail inquiries. This is the only time you will be bothered by us directly.

I forgot my log-in information and/or password. What should I do?

Your log-in to our website includes your email address you provided during your member account set up. If you have several email addresses and cannot remember which one you used, or if you no longer have access to that email address, click on "Contact Us" to send us your new email address. Your website administrators will make the change and then email you a temporary password. Once you've logged in using your new email address and temporary password, change your password by clicking the "Change Password" link under the Person icon menu list on the top right of the webpage.

If you remember your email address but forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password?" link right above the blue "Log In" button within the Classmate Login box, and the website will automatically email password reset instructions to you within a few minutes.

Can I join the site even if I don't plan attend the reunion?

Of course you can. Even if you do not plan to attend a reunion, there are old friends here that would love to see what you've been up to, and we hope you would like to reconnect with. That's one of the primary purposes of this website.

Who has access to my "Classmate Profile" and personal contact information?

You can restrict your Profile visibility or allow public access by checking or unchecking the “Profile Visibility” box selection found in the Edit Profile page in your Member Functions selection. If you check the “Profile Visibility” box your Classmate Profile is not publicly viewable (e.g., by other classes, friends, search engines, and the general public). Viewing your Profile is restricted to only classmates and guests registered on this website. The only personal contact information displayed is the city and state in which you live. However, if you have duplicated some of that information in the Comment box in your profile, that information can be seen by all logged in classmates. It is recommended that you do NOT uncheck the “Profile Visibility” box selection. Leaving the “Profile Visibility” box unchecked allows anyone the ability to see your profile and to send a classmate a private message. In communication with other class reunion webmasters there have been a string of scammers trying to communicate with classmates to send money to the scammers using fake associations with the Westside Alumni Association and a need to pay for membership to the website. Remember, our website is completely free to classmates due to the generous donations of some classmates and excess reunion funds left over from the 50th and 55th reunions.

Can I be notified when other Classmates update their "Classmate Profile?"

YES!  Click on "Notify Me" in the menu from the Person icon on the upper right of the webpage, scroll down to see the list of classsmates, and check those you wish to follow as they make changes. You can also scroll down to the bottom of any classmate's profile page, click on the box that says "Notify me whenever [Classmate's] profile is updated," and click on the "Notify Me" button. You will be notified by email any time there's a change.

Does the public or other Classmates have access to my email address?

No. To protect your privacy, your e-mail address is only stored within the website so classmates can use the website without seeing it to send you a message. You can decide who you want to provide your own email address to. To see if you've received any new messages, click on "Message Center" by clicking on the Letter icon in the upper right of the webpage.

What are examples of the emails that I may receive?

You may be emailed information about new website features, details about upcoming class reunions or events, general announcements, classmate profile updates, and other important news. Click on Notify Me in the Person icon menu to select (or opt out) of each notification type so you only receive the messages you wish to see.

Can I post my own photos or videos on the website?

Yes! You can upload a current photo of yourself, your family, pets, vacations and old photos from days gone by, past reunions, etc. by clicking on "Edit Profile" under the Person icon menu on the upper right of the webpage. Also see "Edit Profile" on the Tips & Tricks page for detailed information. There is no limit on the number of digital photos that you can store on your "Classmate Profile" page. Each uploaded photo is automatically resized to fit on your Profile page. Class Creator has also made available of you a photo editing option for you to improve the final posting of your photos. You can also link to your own videos that you've posted on YouTube. And of course, you can add, delete, or replace your own photos or videos at any time.

Does Class Creator rent, sell, or in any way profit from having our Classmates' names, addresses, and personal information? How does it make its money?

No. Class Creator does not rent or sell any classmate information or engage in any marketing or solicitation to classmates. All personal contact information is held strictly confidential. Class Creator does not sell advertising on the website or display banner ads or pop-up windows as long as we pay the annual fees to Class Creator to keep our website active and to host our website. Our website is owned by our classmates -- not by Class Creator.

How else does Class Ceator make its money?

If a class decides to not continue annual fees for Class Creator to host their website, Class Creator will allow ads on the site. This allows the class website to remain active indefinitely. Also the Class website will have the same security as before. This is a handy option for some classes that do not have the funds to maintain the annual fee between reunions. Our Westside HS Class of 64 Reunion website has the funds and has paid its annual fees through November 2024.
